About DesignWise Film Studios

In 2006, I began producing commercial documentary films and video while living in Yunnan Province, China. I was working with a very smart and talented young German film maker, creating works on Chinese arts and culture. For thirty years, I had been laying the groundwork for this leap, having spent years as photojournalist, artist and digital marketing consultant.

In China, I met and learned from several notable film directors and completed three short films. In 2007, I returned to the US and have since been expanding the use of video in marketing and social media. In 2009, I was commissioned to produce my first professional documentary and began work on several music videos. Lately I have been working on a variety of projects that include a lecture series for a college professor, numerous hospitality marketing videos and filming my first real estate home tour.

DesignWise Studios teaches businesses and individuals how to use social video as a marketing tool and creates targeted multi-media campaigns. My work is on several channels on numerous video sharing sites including the YouTube DesignWise channel and Door County Style Magazine’s YouTube channel. My continuing interest in using new media keeps me on a perpetual learning curve… and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with clients.
